HONESTY
Honesty I believe is a branch off of the idea of trust and truth. With honesty comes truth, “The greatest advantage of speaking the truth is that you don’t have to remember what you said.” Honesty is more than being truthful, it’s believing you can do what you know you can do instead of being dishonest and saying you can’t. The idea of honesty toward yourself is knowing that you can be independent, and taking the responsibility when you know that you did something that is only going to penalize you, because if you’re honest to others and not only yourself you may get a outcome that you didn’t expect and not lying. Some just exaggerate and think that they’re always going to have a negative outcome, and that’s not being honest yourself.
“Of all animals, man is the only one that lies.”(Mark Twain) Which is true, we are the only single species that lie. Honesty is not only what you say it is what you do. Honesty is a way to pay your own way. In many ways people are not honest enough, which leads to doubt. Doubt then leads to other problems. The best thing to keep your well-being a good one is to just be honest mainly with yourself. In life there are going to be times that someone may not be honest to you. But that’s life. some things we just have to put behind us. Which may lead some in the right direction on the idea of honesty.
Losing trust in yourself is the easiest way to lose honesty in yourself. If you lose it in yourself, it is harder for others to stand behind you and help if you need it, but you have to be honest. It’s another easy way to deal with the problems you know you want to just go away. Lying gets you nowhere in life, “Some liars are so expert they deceive themselves.”( Austin O’Malley) We just need to understand that being unhonest ourselves is what makes us do the things we do and tend to regret. And the only way around that is by in the end Be Honest, physically, mentally and emotionally.
I agree with everything you said here. Honesty is the key to trust. If someone isn't honest with themselves and to you, its almost impossible to trust them as a person. Nice wording, and very good quotes to prove your points
